Year 9 Options

At Chipping Sodbury School we offer an exciting range of Key Stage 4 courses that ensures every student can choose the subjects that suit their interests and abilities.  Every course is taught by an expert subject specialist and designed to support post 16 progression to employment, training or further education.  Below you will find information about the 2026/27 Year 9 options process, where students currently in Year 9 make their choices for the GCSE options subjects they will go on to study in Years 10 and 11.  The options booklet contains an overview of the information that will help students begin this process.  In school students will be given the opportunity to ask questions in small groups and one to one support will be available to those who need it.
