Uniform Update

This morning, I met with Peter Hugill, the Area Sales Manager for Monkhouse uniform supporting 180 schools within the South West.  He is new to the company, has wealth of experience in sales and is very committed to continually improving the quality, cost and supply of our school uniform.  On a daily basis our students look very smart in their uniform and Monkhouse understand the crucial role they have in ensuring parents and carers can purchase high quality, competitively priced items in a timely fashion.  I have shared the parental feedback I have received, including, on a few occasions, some unusually long wait times for items.  Peter is aware of some supply issues and they are working hard to rectify any issues.

Below are some exciting updates:

1.Monkhouse are being taken over by Banner, the UK’s largest uniform supplier.  This will allow Monkhouse to improve stock availability, lower costs and maintain the highest quality of uniform supplies
2.Banner have the nationally recognised ‘B corp’ accreditation of sustainability – this is a hugely important commitment and recognition
3.The Monkhouse website will be designed to improve functionality and layout

Although many of the uniform items are already supplied by Banner, this year is a transition year and I will be working closely with Peter to look at samples of any new items to ensure the quality is excellent.  The company’s goal from September 2025, if not sooner, is to get 100% of orders delivered within 5 days.

As always, if you are struggling to purchase any items or need financial support please do not hesitate to contact the school.

Kind regards
