Ready To Learn

Students at Chipping Sodbury are expected to be ‘Ready to Learn’. In each subject area the expectations of students are very clear and they ensure that students are in the right frame of mind to receive good teaching and that they do not hamper their own progress with poor organisation. Examples of ‘Ready to Learn’ are; arriving at lessons with correct equipment, lining up quietly and promptly to be greeted by staff or putting on your DT apron. In each area of the school the requirements vary slightly – example in DT Food students are expected to bring in ingredients for certain lessons. Wherever they are though these requirements are prominently displayed on classroom doors and other teaching spaces.
