Lunch Time Arrangements

The school provides a wide range of healthy hot and cold meals each day; a main meal with vegetables and a dessert currently costs £2.47.

We encourage all students to eat healthily in a calm and orderly atmosphere. Students who bring sandwiches can eat them in the dining room, outside in the covered quad or in the drama hall; parents are asked not to supply their children with unhealthy snacks and drinks for lunch.

We have priority sittings at lunch time, rotated by year groups. This is to avoid queues and to ensure food can be served at the correct temperature. 

Some students who live nearby prefer to go home for lunch, to do this they will need a pass (a request for a pass should be made via your son/daughter's tutor). The lunch pass allows them to go off the school site. The expectation is that they will go straight home at the start of the lunch break and remain there throughout the lunch break. They are not allowed to buy lunch from the local shops or other food outlets.
