Ski Trip
to Passo Tonale, Italy April 2009
We are
organising an 8 day trip to Italy
for a skiing holiday which will take place in the school holidays
4-11 April 2009. The visit is open to students in Years 7, 8 and 9 who will be on the school roll at the time of the
trip. We will be travelling by plane and coach to Italy.
The major aim of the visit is to enable pupils to learn,
practise and improve their skiing skills in a party of friends with
expert tuition. On completion of the trip, students will have
gained many key skills that will be of value for life: they include
leadership, teamwork, communication planning and organisation,
responsibility, decision-making and time management. Safety of
the students at all times is important. The group is accompanied by
experienced adults and experienced ski instructors.
Previous skiing trips have been very successful - here are some of
the comments by students who have taken part:
“The
ski trip 2008 has been the second best time of my life. The first
was the ski trip in 2007! It has also been the second most
depressing, having to sit on the coach and look out the window on
the way back having left my favourite thing in the world =(.
Thanks to everyone and especially the teachers for making the trip
so amazing and putting so much effort into us having a good time. I
recommend next year to anyone, you will have the time of your life,
no matter what!”
Liam, Year 11 Student
“The
ski trip was really good. I enjoyed skiing, even though the boots
hurt! I think that more people should have come.”
Amy, Year 8 Student
“Skiing was a great laugh and it was good to see everyone getting
better as the week went on. All the activities were fun and I met
lots of amazing new people.”
Georgina, Year 10 Student
