We use a number of communication methods including SIMS In-Touch (text and email home), PS Connect (text and email home) and Go4Schools. Parents should also check our website regularly for further updates.

If your circumstances change and you are a key worker of have a child with vulnerabilities, if you need to send your son/daughter to school, please inform us at least 24 working hours in advance through the headspa@chippingsodburyschool.com  email address.  The advice is that everyone should stay at home but we recognise students need to be safe.

The school sports centre (evening and weekend community use) is closed.

Documents to support home learning have been uploaded to the school website http://www.chippingsodburyschool.com/Home-Learning-Documents/

This is a useful website:  https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ which covers many of the issues and questions you may have.

School staff are unable to provide medical advice.

If anyone in our school community has to self-isolate, we do need to be informed – parents/carers should contact the absence line.  If there are any confirmed cases, we also need to be informed please.

In the meantime please continue to follow the preventative advice

  • wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • always wash your hands when you get home or into work/school
  • use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
  • try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
