This is the core work of the school. It is organised through a range of different subjects taught by specialist teachers led by Subject Leaders. We follow the National Curriculum in Key Stages Three and Four and a wide ranging curriculum programme is provided for students Post 16.
Our Technology College status ensures that subjects are underpinned by Information and Communications Technology and that
students are prepared for their futures in an increasingly technological world.
All students follow a programme of study which ensures the delivery of the National Curriculum.
The subjects studied are:

- History
- Religious Education
- ICT (studied as a separate subject and is applied in other subject areas)

- Drama
- Music
- Physical Education
- Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)
All students follow courses to GCSE or equivalent in:

The Curriculum is reviewed regularly and this provision may change as we seek to develop our curriculum and respond to national and local curriculum initiatives.
Curriculum Links
We are developing an increasing range of curriculum links with our partner primary schools. These include visits by primary pupils for lessons and activities at Chipping Sodbury, teachers from Chipping Sodbury working with staff and pupils in primary schools, summer schools (for example for Literacy and Gifted and Talented). We are particularly able to support work in Mathematics, Science, Design & Technology and ICT. These links help to support the transfer to secondary school and also help to maintain curriculum progress for pupils on transfer.
We have our own Sixth Form Centre with a common room. Responsibility for the Sixth Form lies with the Head of Sixth Form. Sixth Form courses are taught in co-operation with our neighbouring schools. This Link arrangement which has been operating and developing successfully for many years enables us to offer wide range of courses to our students.
