Careers Fair - 2 November 2006

Chipping Sodbury School Library and New Gym
This event will allow you the opportunity to access a
variety of jobs, career ideas and courses. There will be a wide
number of experts to talk to, leaflets and information sheets
available, as well as a great deal to just look at. The Careers
Fair is not about making long term decisions, but exploring
opportunities. It is a good idea to make notes to refer to later,
so come prepared.
Don’t make the mistake of believing that because you
intend to go into Higher Education you don’t need advice. Find out
about advanced courses, take into account your long-term plan.
Where do you want to be in 10 years time?
Naturally every possible career field cannot be represented, but
we have tried to get a broad range of exhibitors to attend and talk
to you. The Careers Fair would not be possible without the
willingness of the representatives who are taking part. They have
done so freely and many have travelled and put themselves to much
inconvenience. Our school is very grateful to them and we ask you
to be respectful when you talk to them.
The arrangement
of the evening is informal; parents and students are free to walk
around and visit, and collect information from, as many stands as
they wish. Light refreshments will be on sale.
