Ski Trip

Passo Tonale, Italy

There will be another ski trip to Passo Tonale in April 2011.

Thank you to all those who have paid their deposits and are in the process of making further payments. This time next year we will be heading to the slopes!  

The trip will take place in the school holidays 9^th-17^th April 2011 to Passo Tonale in Italy. It is currently open to students in all year groups who will be on roll at the time of the trip. At present there are a group of 30 students who have paid their deposits and are signed up to go.  

We will be leaving Chipping Sodbury on 9^th April and will return on 17^th April, we will be travelling by coach to Italy, this is to reduce cost. Passo Tonale is a superb place to visit with outstanding ski facilities for all ability ranges. The school's last ski trip in 2009 took place in Passo Tonale and the feedback was very positive from both staff and students. 

The major aim of the visit is to enable pupils to learn, practise and improve their skiing skills in a party of friends with expert tuition.  On completion of the trip, students will have gained many key skills that will be of value for life: they include leadership, teamwork, communication planning and organisation, responsibility, decision-making and time management.  Safety of the students at all times is important. The group is accompanied by experienced adults and experienced ski instructors.   

There are still places left on the trip and encourage any student that is interested to speak to Miss Kenyon in Humanities. The cost of the visit will be £799.00. This includes travel, insurance, accommodation, all ski equipment hire, ski instruction and entertainment. It does not include spending money   Further information will appear on this website. Parent meetings will take place during the next academic year.
