A Level Results

Chipping Sodbury students and staff are celebrating another set of very successful examination results for our Post 16 students.  We are extremely proud of the achievements of everyone with all students in a strong position to accept their first choice for university, apprenticeships or entering work.  A number of students achieved the top grades of A*/A/B:  Emma Vandeleur AAA (Royal Holloway, History, Politics and International Relations), Ethan Lloyd AAA (Warwick University, History and Sociology), Matthew Hellen A*AB (University of Birmingham, Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology) and Scarlett Hass BBB (Lincoln University, Sport).  A wide number of students achieved A*-C grades and are off to pursue an exciting range of courses at Universities across the country: Rob Bennett (Plymouth, Games Art), Aiden Bulmer (Exeter, Natural Sciences), Seanna Dando (Cardiff, Sport and Exercise Science), Elleni Harding (UWE, Nursing), Jake Hardy (Gloucester, Journalism), Kyra Lewis (Northampton, Law), Shannon Stewart, (Royal Holloway, Electrical Engineering), Andrew Willis, (UWE, Primary Education) and Jake Wiltshire- Copperthwaite (SGS, Animal Management).  A large number of students had been awarded unconditional offers to universities which reflect the quality of their applications and their performance at interview.  This year, there are a number of students who have chosen to pursue further study and training through the apprenticeship route and congratulations go to Joe Fendick, Ellis O’Brien, Beth Benson and Kelsie Batten.  We wish all our students the very best as they embark on the next chapter; they have been a delightful year group throughout the school and it is with a huge amount of pride that the staff of the school say goodbye to each of them.
