Students at the National History Museum


Junior Strings Day

On 5th February 2008 the school hosted a Junior Strings Day for pupils from partnership schools in the area, on behalf of the Music Service.



Windband Conducting Workshop

Students at the workshop enjoyed playing, conducting, learning new pieces of music and putting on a concert for parents at the end of the day.


Christmas 2007
  
A Prom Aid event took place on 19 December in the Drama Hall. It was organised by Year 11 Senior Students to raise funds for the Summer Ball in June.

On Friday 7 December the choir went to the High Street in Chipping Sodbury to sing carols as part of Victorian Day.

Brass Instruments Assembly on Tour
A Year 8 Student has been touring our partner Primary Schools with an assembly on Brass instruments and playing as part of her work towards a Silver Arts Award.




Bugsy Malone School Performance July 2007
A cast of 50 accompanied by a live band stage performances of 'Bugsy Malone' to great acclaim.

 



Alternative Curriculum Visits - June 2007
Students visited the Natural History Museum and Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. Pitt Rivers is an eclectic mix of ethnic art from around the world and houses artefacts as diverse as the shrunken heads, masks and totem poles. The gothic-like room of the Natural History Museum houses a few large dinosaurs, other natural creatures and birds.



Gifted & Talented Music Workshop - May 2007
